Time for another post inspired by the Buccaneer Blogfest. Today I’m answering two questions:
Well now, this blog was originally started to hold my book reviews. I know how original am I? ^_^ I post them on LibraryThing and Goodreads too. But I really, I wanted a place to trace them all that wasn’t mouldering quietly in some obscure part of my computer’s hard drive.
I was quite content with it.
Then I stumbled across what has to be the biggest writing community on the web and the blogfests/bloghops that were sprinkled throughout the blogs (for those who are new here, my 2012 goal is to participate in at least one bloghop a month). Six months later, I’ve been consistently reaching that goal and, as a result, have met so many new people. ^_^
That being said, I don’t really have a goal for my blog. That brings rise to the possibility that there may be an end to it and, right now, I’m having far too much fun to want this to stop. So the closest to a goal I have is the desire to have one place where everything about me, all my writerly happening and readerly thoughts, are in one place. Hence the blog’s title (Thardrandia being the planet my first story is based on ^_^).
Now you know the story of my blog and how it came to be. Remember to continue on through the linky list and visit all the others participating in this blogfest.

Excellent reason for starting, and maintaining your blog. I also like that you've got no real blogging goals, because that would mean it would end eventually.
I love what you're doing, and do something similar myself. Just taking part in blogfests, and meeting new people. It's an excellent way to make friends.

I like the way you put that–blogging to have all your writerly happening and readerly thoughts in one place.
I'm a visiting Buccaneer and new follower! 🙂

My blog may eventually end, but only when my love of writing does and I run out of ideas. Hopefully the blogfests will keep that coming.
And yes, blogfests are a great way to meet new people. The list of blogs I follow grows with each one I join. Small wonder it takes so long to read them in the morning. ^_^

Oh yes. And there's much more fun to be had out in the bloggy world than in some of the forums I've been in.

A blog hop pro, eh? This Buccaneer Blogfest is my first. It's proving time-consuming, but I've no regrets!

Goodness, I don't consider myself a pro on anything and this has to be the longest-running bloghop I've ever been on.
I, too, have no regrets.
