#RainbowSnippets – To Target the Heart

Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook Group where people post six sentence pieces of their LGBTQ+ novels.

This snippet is from my fantasy wip To Target the Heart. In this piece Hamish and Darshan have just managed to not be caught snogging in the castle library instead of language studies by Hamish’s older, stuck-up sister…

Hamish hastily adjusted his clothes. Could the man not do something as simple as kissing without pawing at him like a bear seeking to break open a chicken coop? “We were just—”

“I’m tutoring him,” Darshan blurted. Unlike himself, the spellster looked as immaculate as ever. “Teaching him my native tongue, as it were.”

Do follow the link above, or check out the Snippet Sunday Folk, to see other snippets.

  1. “Native tongue…” ROFL! Okay, I’m dying. Well, it wasn’t a lie! I love the double meaning to it and quick cover. I like this guy already. Hopefully Hamish’s expression doesn’t give anything away over the lie and cover.
