Weekend Writing Warriors – #8sunday

wewriwa_square_3Chapter seven of In Pain and Blood will be on here next week. If you want them earlier, as well as the raunchier ones, then consider signing up for my newsletter.

For now, my dear Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday Folk, here’s another teaser.

Blurb: When a routine inspection goes awry, Dylan is left unleashed and alone. Afraid he’ll become prey for the King’s Hounds, he struggles to make his way back to the only safety he’s ever known. Or is it?

This piece is near the end of a rather raunchy chapter involving an impromptu foursome with three of the main characters and Treasure, a prostitute. But that’s not what’s bothering Authril, who has been glaring at Tracker since they left the woman’s presence…

“Such fearsome looks, dear woman,” Tracker said to her. “What have I done to offend you so?”

“Back there,” she snarled. “What did you think you were doing with him?”

“All this hostility is over a little kiss? My dear, what I was doing was as precisely as I pleased. You two have exchanged no commitments of monogamy and you’ve already admitted you’re not lovers. That makes him fair game if he wishes, does it not?”

Dylan’s gut bubbled at the thought. He wet his lips. The ghost-like brush of the man’s mouth lingered on his skin.

Authril jabbed a finger into the man’s chest. “Keep your lips off of him.”

The hound gave a low, rich chuckle as they left The Gilded Lily’s bright entrance and re-entered the night-shrouded streets. “Where I choose to place my lips is no one’s business other than the one I place them on.”
