I hate winter

free-sick-child-in-bed-vectorIf any season could be singled out as my least favourite, it would be winter. Not just because it’s cold and wet, but due to the blasted sickly bugs that always pay a visit via my partner or daughter. Both of which love to share.

This year, my daughter lovingly brought home the flu and decided to share it with the entire household. So sweet of her.

Needless to say, my writing on Dark One’s Bride has stalled for the moment. I’ve spent most of my time holed up in bed binge-watching Star Trek: Voyager and coughing my lungs up.

The good news? I’m about halfway through season three now. Oh, and I could sit in front of the computer long enough to type this.

  1. 😦 That’s no fun. I hope you get to feeling better soon! In the meantime, I’ll just try not to scorch myself in this 100+ degrees (Fahrenheit) weather we have here in Idaho.

    1. I’m starting down the “get better” path. Still foggy though. Not quite up to continuing with DOB, but I’ve bits of TTtH snapping at my ankles, so that’s something.

      How’s Isto coming?

      1. A couple of people contacted me through the Ladies Who Critique forums, and now I’m writing a pre-prologue prologue! I had wondered if my world rules would confuse people who were unfamiliar with it and apparently that seems to be the case. So I’m taking people back to when the humans first arrived. We’ll see how it works out.

I hope you continue to get better. Do you think TTtH will distract you from DOB like IPaB did?

      2. It shouldn’t do. DOB’s just in a place where I need to have everything laid out in front of me to work on it or I can’t get far, whilst TTtH is still bubbling to itself with so many ideas that I can mould it without much brain power.
